Trail rides

One hour ride


We offer 3 departures a day in the afternoons, please come 15 minutes early.

The one-hour ride is a perfect introduction to trail riding in the Cariboo. Whether you are a beginner or wish to enjoy a quick outdoor activity the scenery and horses will recharge your batteries!

Two hours ride


Departure 10 am from the barn, please come 15 minutes early.

The two hours rides allow us to explore beyond the forest of the resort and around Succour Lake.

Three hours ride

Departure 8 am from the barn, please come 15 minutes early.

You will be riding for up to 4 hours in the backcountry of the 20 000 land of the resort. There are several lakes to explore, the adventure awaits!

Best suited for intermediate and experienced riders

Full day ride & cookout lunch

The day starts at the barn, departure 10 am, we ride for a couple hours through scenic trails of forest and lakes. At mid day you will stop for a cowboy brunch at the resort. You will get back in the saddle to continue your ride well fed.

Best suited for intermediate and experienced riders

Ground work introdution

Groundwork sessions in the round pen or arena are a great way to bring rider and horse to understand each other. Our young riders can benefit from learning communication clues and physical awareness around horses.

Sessions 30 minutes to 1 hour and can be done in group.

Introduction to riding in the barn yard, round pen or arena depending on what the rider is looking to accomplish.

English or Western

Sessions 1 hour

July-August Walk in: Single $55 Group $45

Departure 8:0 pm from the barn, please come 15 minutes early. You will embark on the hay ride with your friends and family before traveling around the ranch as in the old days until reaching your destination at the large Teepee. You will have time to debark and enjoy some hot chocolate or hot wine beside the fire (beverage included in price). The team will then drive us safely back to the barn.

Adult: 19$ Under 12:10,50$ 5 and under free.

Come with your friends and family for a private ride (groups of 4 to 15 individuals)

PLEASE NOTE: Horseback riding can be dangerous. You ride the horses and use the trails and equipment at your own risk. All riders – or a guardian if under 15 years of age – are required to sign a waiver at the barn.

Horse Training

Jesse offers a full service training program tailored to you and your horses needs and goals.

Tune up english or western, additional miles on the trails or in the arena, problem solving, team training for drafts.

FULL TRAINING - 25 sessions a month including boarding $850 per month

Off property sessions: 55$ per session

Boarding and training facility are located at the Spruce hill resort barn 108 Mile Ranch or on a separate location in Forest Grove BC. Your horse can be kept in a separate field or turn out with our herd. Dry pen can be arranged for specific cases.
